This piece was done by creating a form called a ‘stuff cup’ which will end up being the white layer of glass on the surface. large circle are drilled out forming holes in the cup which we then reheat and stuff with an amber bubble in the hotshop. It is then brought back to the cold shop and carved using various cutting wheels to create a traditional Venetian Glass Pattern called ‘Batutto’
